Many people see the problems that drug abusers have as strictly a social problem. They tend to characterize people who take drugs as morally weak or as having criminal tendencies. They believe that drug abusers and addicts should be able to stop taking drugs if only they were willing to change their behavior.

WINTER SPORTS INTERVEIW
Arvid Williams a 5’5 point guard for piper’s boys junior varsity basket team gave me a moment to speak on his aspects on the game. He explains the intensity of the game drives him to ball hard every night. He is no stranger to the game and has had respect for it since he was six years old. The number twelve is just another number to us but to Arvid its symbolizes something greater. This is the number of underdog point guard Sebastian Telfair summer league. Arvid explains how he developed his game with the help of fellow coach of Bair middle Gary m. I asked Arvid to use one word describing Coach Jones he used ‘’intense when you are on the floor you want to do well by him’’. It’s like he turns to another person out their’’. He tells me how in practice coach Jones is sort of like a big brother of the team he looks out for them on and off the court. I asked Arvid to describe what his teammates view him as cool, laidback hard worker. His idols of the big league are three time champion Kobe Bryant.
He’s the type of Bengal that would like to make basketball out of a career it a dream he must succeed.

Ellijah Conliffe a 17 year old whom attends piper high currently a senior here is putting his education to the next level. I asked Elijah is he attending college and he look at me and firmly said’ yes that’s a must’. He plans to attend Fau that’s the collage he for ever wanted to attend. His most favorable memory was making the piper football team ‘’go Bengals ‘’he yells. He has such pride for this school, even though he went to Taravella his freshmen year. He is applying for FiU for a backup plan if he so not happen to get accepted into FAU. He’s ready for the real world that’s how life’s suppose to go, it’s a happy feeling it’s like a tingling sensation in the pit of you stomach. His outlook of the term senioritis is when you feel you have done everything in high school know every thing there is to know, and you are sick of high school. He explains how his most embarrassing moment is when his barber shaved off his edges in his freshman year. The teacher that most influenced him was miss Austin because she pushed him to follow his dreams .He plans to major in ladies? I paused and rephrase the question and he said he was just joking , paramedics. He plans to live on campus because it is a requirement for a collage freshmen. This concludes his last year interview.

Everyone has been on a trip they’ll never forget. One trip Desmond Stewart went on was from South Carolina to Buffalo New York for a family reunion. I asked him to give me a summary about his trip. He said that his mother, father, brother, and the rest of his family drove in vans to Buffalo. He met cousins and family members he never even knew existed. He stayed there for a week doing various activities from playing sports to fishing. I asked “so overall what was the best part of the trip”? He stated “everything from playing football and just meeting new family”. So then I switched the conversation to school. I asked “do you know what Senioritis is and if so, do you think you suffer from that condition”? He laughed and said “yeah I know what that is, and yeah I sure suffer from that! I asked how you know that you have senioritis. He stated “I come to school late, skip sometimes, and act lazy”. He said however “I still get good grades so no one can complain. I than ask “what is your most memorable high school moment “. He said “one day I brought $1000 to school and I felt like the boss”. “I bought all my friends’ lunch and I felt like money”. So that’s a little about Desmond Stewart’s senior memories.

He attended Ely High school in Pompano, Fl. I asked what does JROTC, mean he replied junior
Reserved Officer Training Corp. This is a program to motivate young kids as citizens no mater what’s their ethnic background. Believe it or not Sergeant Spencer is the founder of Piper’s JROTC. This was established in 1993, him and fellow Sergeant v. The student gain self confidence and respect within themselves as person Whole. I was told by Sergeant Spencer that they define the basic structures of the army, they influence a person to be a self role model. The rankings are something I myself was confused with how some of the programs students. It’s really simple the students receive higher rankings depending on how they react to receiving, taking and responding to orders. I asked Sergeant Spencer use one word describing you and he looked and me and stated caring. This statement is true on behalve that numorous of his former students have returned and thanked him,for being such a father figure. He would like people to remmber him as a role model to men and women. Kevin m. a sohpmore at Piper high has been in JROTC for two years now recalls how he has discipline. When asked what type of enviorment is JROTC is in he replied a family one. He believes that his sergeant is very dedicated person and very motivated.

Mr. Webster a new teacher here at Piper High says he wants a new beginning. This language arts teacher had a change of heart from his teachings in modern language. To tv production. This Stony Brook, Island New Yorker has no regrets for his change. He majored in writing and film at Emerson College. I asked Mr. Webster what was his line of work before teaching, and boy did he have a line. He was a critic for the world renowned New York post. This grade A entrepreneur Even took up being a bartender. He was also a radio personality for a local radio station in Boston. Also a assistant director for V.flash.com. Mr. Webster describes his style of teaching different from other teachers as precisely as he could. He explains, ‘’you know not being around lot’s of teacher’s seeing their style of teaching guided me to conduct a environment students could relate to. Booby Eugene a pupil of Mr. Webster explains how He can actually talk to him in a civilized manner but as if he were a laid back type of guy. As I entered the classroom for my own experience the class was full of active teens wiling to do their “broadcaster’s” as something we made up. This brings me to see something that is not usually occurring in a classroom. Mr. Webster is a teacher giving hands on tips and he frequently jumps in to the action. It’s hard to tell that he was a language arts teacher for five years, being he’s been here since august and has taught at neighboring Millennium middle. He gave me one word to describe him and ephemeral, or lasting short period. Now he told me this because he remembered saying it to his high school crush.

The love for each child is unbearable. But the fact still remains parents play favorites regardless.
The fact that I’m the oldest plays a key role in this circumstance. First born first love I call it. You mothers first child is initial in the parenting skills .For a first time parents the chances of a parent picking a favorite are high. Especially if there are, three or more children. I known it seems wrong and the whole (we all are equal) thing may come in place but in these cases are rare.
Being a favorite of your parents has plenty downfalls because you have to practice the rules are rules game. When you suffer consequences it is twice as hard as the other children. This is because they feel you should set an example on the rest of the rest of the kids. Also they feel you should know right from wrong. Part from setting an example being head of house while parents are gone can mean a lot in how much your parents can trust you. Getting that much authority, is a reward that shouldn’t be abused.
The oldest child has more leeway than the rest of the siblings in the household.
Going out late night with friends is some of few things you undertake as being the oldest in the household. When talking to parents about things you would discuss as part of growing up from a maturing body to a talk about private life no matter what weird ways you parents may tell you.
As part of being the oldest you parents Know you better than any other child. You can be angry as any other but deny it to your parents all the way. To conclude being a favorite has its highs and lows predominantly the oldest is looked at as the favorite amongst households in America.
